In an emerging democracy, women’s political participation is an indicator. In spite of the 51% female population of Cameroon, their representation is still below 30% within councils and about 25% within the parliament (2008 to 2013 statistics) mainly because of women’s ignorance and lack of leadership capacity. Consequently, the founding of the Women’s Democracy Network, Cameroon- WDN-C will contribute greatly to the improvement of this situation.
